What makes Grand Tradition special for a wedding?

The setting does half your decor for you. Tropical gardens, water everywhere, and ceremony sites built around a waterfall. Jen and Eric held their ceremony at the falls and their reception on the Arbor Terrace, and the transition between the two felt like moving through a resort, not changing rooms.

What should you know about the sound restrictions?

Grand Tradition, like many estate venues, has real sound requirements. Here's the honest truth: sound restrictions don't limit great DJs. They expose inexperienced ones.

A DJ who only knows one volume treats restrictions as the enemy and delivers a flat night. The professional approach is engineering: speaker placement that puts the energy on the dance floor instead of spraying it at the property line, coverage tuned to the space, and a mix that creates intensity through song selection and momentum rather than raw volume. At Jen and Eric's wedding, I ran Meyer Sound ULTRA-X40 loudspeakers, positioned deliberately, and the floor never felt restricted for a second.

If you're touring venues with sound rules, ask every DJ you interview how they handle them. The answer tells you whether they engineer a room or just turn knobs.

How do you time a waterfall ceremony?

With coordination. The falls site is gorgeous and it has its own logistics: guest arrival flow, where the sound comes from, and making sure vows carry clearly over ambient water. That's preparation work I do with the venue team and your officiant before the day, so the only thing you notice is how good it all sounds.

Can the reception still surprise people?

Jen and Eric's did. We built a custom Star Wars surprise into their celebration that their guests still bring up. Moments like that don't happen by accident; they happen because your DJ treats your reception as a show to direct, not a playlist to shuffle.
