For extra reach across the room, I've added supplemental speakers, at Agnes and Tim's wedding that meant two extra Bose S1 speakers on the sides of the room, run wirelessly off a Shure QLXD transmitter and receiver, so sound stayed even for guests on the far side of the space.

Can a DJ personalize the music to what matters to us specifically?

Yes, and it should go beyond a generic playlist. One of the things I appreciated about Agnes and Tim was that we share the same faith, so during cocktail hour and dinner I played Christian hip hop and other uplifting Christian music at their request. That is the kind of detail a couple should feel comfortable bringing up in your planning conversation, whatever it is for you, since a good DJ builds the set around who you actually are, not just genre categories.

What's a typical Metropol reception timeline?

At Agnes and Tim's wedding, the reception moved through a grand entrance, first dance, welcome speech, blessing of the food, dinner, speeches, a group photo, dancing, cake cutting, and the bouquet toss, with a kissing game, trivia game, and centerpiece game worked in during dinner to keep the room engaged between courses.
