One of the cool things about being a DJ is that you get to see some really fun venues! 😯
On November 2020, I had the pleasure to DJ for Hannah & Daniel at the Hangar 21 Event Venue down in Fullerton, California. This was an outdoor wedding venue which they transformed the back of the hangar into the ceremony and reception. This was also a socially distanced wedding with people wearing masks, as well.

Floorplan/Layout/Setup at Hangar 21
There are various ways to have your wedding here at Hangar 21 Event Venue. For wedding ceremonies, you can either have it at the side courtyard or directly behind the hangar. For this particular wedding, we had it directly behind the hangar. Being that this wedding took place during the pandemic, we had seats spread apart to maintain social distancing.
For the cocktail hour, it took place at the side courtyard where there was a bar, guest book signing and cocktail tables for people to hang around. We had the cocktail hour there because we needed some time to flip/transform the ceremony site into the dinner reception.
For the reception, it was both indoors and outdoors. The great thing about this venue was that you can leave the huge hangar doors open to allow fresh air inside. For the DJ to setup, the DJ can either be on the upper deck plugged into the house system (which sounds amazing by the way), the lower level inside plugged into the house system, or outside the hangar using the DJs own sound system. For Hannah and Daniel’s wedding, I was placed outside with my 2 main speakers spread apart to cover the outdoor area. To cover the people inside the venue, I used a 3rd speaker with my wireless sound setup for sound reinforcement.
Summary
It was a nice, romantic wedding feel at the venue and people there enjoyed the music, food, speeches, and dancing. I had a great time spinning some music that got people singing and feeling good which is something we can all use in these unique times right now. I’m happy to be a part of their big wedding day and making sure everything went smoothly, safe, and fun. Thank you, Hannah and Daniel, for having me!
