On February 24th, I DJed at Equinox West LA for Cycle for Survival!
I worked with the AV team on-site to provide the energy and music for all of the teams and riders at the event.
I worked alongside an MC, instructors, dancers, and a full production team to create an amazing experience for all of the riders.

This video captures a fun corporate holiday event party at one of Hollywood's clubs, Boulevard3!
On December 7, 2017, I had the honor to DJ on behalf of The One Up Group for a corporate holiday party at Boulevard3. They're an entertainment and production company in Los Angeles who was in charge of bringing the entertainment for this corporate event. I was in charge of setting the vibe of the party and worked alongside a live band consisting of a violinist, saxophonist, and drummer. I even got the chance to work with sky drummers which were positioned on high sticks overlooking the crowd.
I've partied at Boulevard3 before, but this was my first time DJing in here and everyone was super nice! I only brought my controller, laptop, and in-ear monitors and connected to their main mixer. In a few moments, I was ready to rock the party. This was my first time DJing for the company, and I was informed that the crowd isn't really a dancing crowd. After hearing that, I decided to challenge that idea. I played a mixture of 80s, Motown, Top 40, R&B, hip-hop, and house beats. Eventually, people were starting to bob their heads, tap their feet, and eventually danced!
I was contracted to perform till 12am, but they ended up extending me for another hour! I then even cranked it up a notch and played a bit of hip-hop and more club beats. This was an amazing event and the planner, CEO, organizer, people, staff and everybody else had a great time. This comes to show that music is definitely important at an event and having the right DJ contributes greatly to an event's success.

On September 2, 2017, I was the DJ and MC for Jaime & Bradley's wedding at The Grand in Long Beach, CA. It was a fun wedding of about 250 guests. I provided sound and microphone for their ceremony, music for their cocktail, and DJ/MC entertainment for their reception. It was a very fun and upbeat wedding mostly because of their music selections that they've chosen for their wedding. They even had a special performance from their cousins. Overall, the dance floor was packed! And everybody danced the whole night. I'm glad I was able to capture some highlights of people dancing and some of my song mix transitions. This is the kind of weddings I enjoy performing. Thank you, Jaime and Bradley, for having me as your DJ!

DJed a Destination Wedding at Highland Dell Lodge in Monte Rio, California for my childhood friend's wedding!
On August 26, 2017, I had a great opportunity to DJ one of my childhood friend's wedding up in Monte Rio, California. We knew each other since we were kids and glad we reconnected when she asked me to be a part of her wedding.
DJ TALK:
Since this was my second destination wedding, I already had an idea what to expect and what I would need to perform at the wedding. I connected with the venue manager at Highland Dell Lodge and communicated what DJs have done in the past and the equipment that they already provide and set up. Fortunately, the venue already provided the sound system, cables, and stage area where I'll be performing. On my travels, I just had to bring my controller, laptop, headphones, laptop stand, wireless microphone, and lights. On the day of the event, Herb, the venue manager, made sure I was up and running well to perform. He was great to work with in making all of this happen.
WEDDING TALK:
Sonia and Matt's wedding took place at a beautiful lodge up in Monte Rio, California. This was a destination wedding for most of her friends and family. Their ceremony was held at Riverfront Meadow which was located across the river. It was an outdoor ceremony and Sonia's friends handled the speaker, microphone, and music setup. It was great to attend the ceremony as a guest. After the ceremony, I was able to reconnect with Sonia's family and make new friends with some of the guests along the way.
After the ceremony, we moved the 100 wedding guests to Highland Dell Lodge where the cocktail and reception took place. I played some Italian standards music as guests enjoy catching up with one another over drinks and appetizers. Then I hyped up their guests for the grand entrance. Then we enjoyed a nice dinner with a mix of Bossanova and some Thievery Corporation (album "Saudade") music in the background (Amazing music by the way). Afterwards, we enjoyed some toasts from both fathers of the bride and groom, maid of honor and best man. Then we continued with the first dance, father & daughter dance, mother & son dance, and opened up the dance floor for dancing.
I had an amazing dance set comprising of 70s, 80s, disco, merengue, salsa, 90s, 00s, and hip hop. In this video, you'll hear a sample of songs that I played that night. We had people dancing and singing their hearts out the entire night and everybody had a great time. At the end of the video, our bride, Sonia, gave a quick testimonial of my services which I'm so glad that she and Matt and had an amazing time at the wedding. On May 13, 2017, I DJed the wedding of Erica and John at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden at CSULB. It was a gorgeous outdoor wedding that I can definitely recommend to any couple who are looking for a garden setting.
That evening, I was in charge of their wedding reception. Music was very important to the couple and what made this wedding interesting was that the couple didn't want any of the traditional music that are played at weddings. That equated to a more vibey, upbeat and club-like wedding. And wow, what a party! The whole reception was just perfect and people had an amazing time on the dance floor.

On May 14, 2017, I was hired from VOX DJs to DJ and host the wedding of Chelsea and Scott at the Camarillo Ranch House in Camarillo, CA. It was a Filpino-American Wedding, and they had a guest count of 250 as most of their family came from cities all over the US to witness this special occasion. This was a big wedding and was glad I worked with a team of professionals. Jane and her team from www.janealexanderevents.com helped me out throughout the day to ensure everything went smoothly.
That day I was in charge of their ceremony, cocktail, and reception. I didn't have an assistant with me to help me out, but fortunately, I arrived there early enough to handle it all on my own. For the ceremony, I setup near the large tree at the back of the ranch. I used my QSC K8 speaker to project sound, as well as my Alto ZMX122 mixer. They also had a special performance from The Brown Brothers who sang during the ceremony. For them, I setup 3 microphones on mic stands, 1 QSC K12 speaker on the floor as the monitor, and hooked up their keyboard to my mixer. The whole ceremony was beautiful and went flawless.
Shortly after the ceremony was the cocktail hour which I have used my battery-powered Denon speaker. I connected my iPad to it and played a playlist that I created on Spotify. I played a mixture of upbeat wedding music that catered to all ages. Even the staff had complimented and told me that they enjoyed the music. Thank you!
While people were enjoying the cocktail hour, I was doing my last touch ups, cleaning up, and sound check over at the reception area. When it was time to welcome guests, I had some upbeat wedding music in the background. I then lined up the wedding party outside and this even included their sponsors. The grand entrance was fun and the guests were cheering them on as they made their way inside. Right after the bride and groom's entrance, we did their first dance. Afterwards was a welcome speech from the bride's parents and a blessing from their officiant. Then it was time to eat.
While people are enjoying their delicious meals catered by Simply Marvelous BBQ (http://simplymarvelousbbq.com/), we had some special performances to entertain the guests. There were a total of 4 acts with 3 of them were solo singers. They provided me their iPhone to play the YouTube karaoke version of the song and they sang on top of the music. They were all great singers! The 4th act was from the group, The Brown Brothers. They sang over a music track that they've given me on a CD dedicated to the bride and groom. They sounded amazing!
Next, we had speeches and toasts. Following was the parents dances, and then an open dance floor! It was time to party! I played a mixture of Top 40 and classic funky and disco hits. I even played some Filipino favorites such as "Todo Todo" and other line dancing songs that gets people on the dance floor. About 30 minutes into the dance set, we took a break for the bride and groom to do their cake cutting, bouquet, and garter toss. My favorite parts was the bouquet toss because I played the song "Move B****" by Ludacris as the bride's request. You know it's going to be a fun party. Then we continued with more dancing and mixing the music up for everyone to dance. Finally, we ended the night with "Don't Stop Believing". I gathered people around the dance floor to surround Chelsea and Scott with their love. They were singing and shouting having a great time.
Overall, the whole night was a success! And importantly, Chelsea and Scott had an amazing time at their wedding. It was a pleasure to have been their DJ. Congrats Scott and Chelsea!

On March 26, 2017, I DJed and hosted at one of my favorite venues, Calamigos Ranch at the Oaks Room in Malibu, CA. This time it was for the wedding of Christine & Nathan. I was in charge of their wedding ceremony, cocktail, and reception. If you've never been here, it's an amazing place tucked in this hills of Malibu. At this particular venue and room, the ceremony is placed right in front of a beautiful curved waterfall which creates a serene scene as the couple gets married. Shortly after the ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktail hour outside on the patio. For the reception, I gathered everyone inside and asked to position themselves around the dance floor as we welcomed the wedding party and the newlyweds. It was a fun grand entrance and set the tone of the night. We continued with the first dance, blessing of the meal, dinner, speeches, a slideshow presentation, parents dances, dancing and cake cutting. One of the things I enjoyed that night was mixing in some K-Pop, Korean Pop, music for the bride and her family/friends. I also worked with a great team of vendors who all made the night smooth and fun. Overall, it was an amazingly fun night! Thank you Christine & Nathan for having me as your DJ!

On March 18, 2017, I DJed and hosted the wedding of Joey & Maigan at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Mandalay Beach Resort. The wedding ceremony was beautiful as it was placed right by the beach. The weather that day couldn't have been more perfect. Joey & Maigan didn't have a traditional wedding ceremony. They spiced things up with their music selection as they walk down the isle. The groomsmen came into "Bring Em Out" by T.I., the parents, flower girls, and ring bearer came into "I Gotta Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas, and the bridesmaids came into "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. When it was Maigan's turn to walk down the isle, she walked down to "A Thousand Years" by The Piano Guys. Their ceremony was great because it set a fun vibe and tone that carried out to the rest of the night.
For the cocktail and reception, it took place inside the resort. The wedding was a multi-cultural wedding combining Latin, Persian, and American backgrounds, and the music I played reflected that. We had 3 dance sets that nights. The first dance set happened right after the first dance, the second after dinner, and the third after the cake cutting. It was a fun celebration and the wedding was a huge success. At the end of the night, I even received a positive testimonial from the bride and groom themselves! This was a fun wedding! On October 8, 2016, I DJed the wedding of Shawna & Kevin at Rancho Sol Del Pacifico in Malibu, California. It was a beautiful wedding as it took place at the top of one of the hills overlooking Malibu and the beach. I worked with an amazing team of vendors such as Vanessa from NessaEvents and Pierre from Pierre's Catering. The energy and vibe from the crowd were phenomenal as they came in with an attitude to celebrate Shawna & Kevin's marriage. As for music, the dance floor was filled throughout the night as I played some classic wedding hits as well as modern dance favorites. Overall, everyone had a great time that night. On October 1, 2016, I DJed a fun wedding at the Agoura Hills Event Center for Megan & Sean! That day, I worked with an amazing wedding planner, Heather, owner of Delmar Events. Her and her team were such a great help that made the night flow smoothly. The photographers were also great as they brought their own light to capture the perfect picture every time. On September 2, 2016, I had a blast DJing Brian and Eurri's wedding at the Vertigo Event Venue in Glendale, CA! We originally met at Downtown LA's Art Walk last year when I DJed an event there. They enjoyed my music, decided to book me, and a year later, we made their wedding into a reality! The wedding reception was full of fun as we turned the wedding into a full-on dance party! With the venue's built-in lighting effects and my sound system, we transformed the room into a club. On August 27, 2016, I DJed the wedding of Nick & Perveen at Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara, California. The wedding was beautifully setup outdoors and was a great spot to host the reception. It was a fun-filled event as we had a balloon release, a surprise song performance by the groom, and dancing! The couple were from the bay so I threw in some hyphy dance hits into the set that I knew would make the crowd go crazy! Everybody had a great time and I received many compliments that night. On July 23, 2016, I had an amazing opportunity to DJ Corbin Bleu and Sasha Clements' wedding at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, CA. As many already know, Corbin Bleu is one of the featured stars in Disney's High School Musical movie series. Sasha Clements is a Canadian actress, and if you combine Corbin and Sasha, you get this amazing power-couple.
At their wedding, I attended as their DJ/MC and was in charge of their cocktail and reception. It was a fun-filled event as there was a surprise transition in their first dance, Oscar Cartaya's live latin band, and an In-N-Out food truck at midnight! In this video, you'll see some of the behind-the-scenes footage taken that night from my point of view. The wedding was an absolute blast and I'm glad Sasha and Corbin had an amazing time too. On July 14, 2016, I DJed the launch of the new Hotel Angeleno! They just finished their multimillion dollar renovation around the hotel and they invited all of their valued partners and clients to share in the celebration! They also became a new member of Genre Hotels and received an exclusive partnership with Uber!
That night, I DJed on the top floor of the hotel providing fun music for all the guests. The guests enjoyed themselves so much, that the hotel extended my contract with them for another entertaining hour! The night was a success and happy for the growing success of Hotel Angeleno.

On April 24, 2016, I DJed the wedding of Faiza and Kevin on behalf of One Up Entertainment. It was an intimate wedding of about 40-50 people and took place at the gorgeous Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, California. I was the DJ and MC throughout the wedding and was in charge of the ceremony, cocktail and reception that evening. This was my first wedding that I played Somali and African music. However, challenging at first, the end result was amazing. I played a mixture of Somali, Latin/Spanish, Hip hop, Dancehall, and Top 40 music that got everybody on the dancefloor. I received many compliments that night and received some praise from the groom himself. This was an amazing wedding and happy to have witness all of it. In this video, you'll see why. Enjoy!

This video captures my first gig that day for a 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Odyssey in Granada Hills, CA. It was a day event starting from 11am-4pm. In the beginning, we had a mass which the couples renewed their vows. This was a really sweet event for a really sweet couple.
