On February 24th, I DJed at Equinox West LA for Cycle for Survival! I worked with the AV team on-site to provide the energy and music for all of the teams and riders at the event. I worked alongside an MC, instructors, dancers, and a full production team to create an amazing experience for all of the riders.

For gear, I only brought with me what I needed such as my DJ controller, laptop, music, headphones, laptop cable, and a power strip. Then the AV hooked me up with XLR cables. We tested out sound, and the whole room sounded amazing! There was a subwoofer in the room to help people feel the booming bass in the music. They also installed a disco ball on top to create a cool party effect.

As for music, I mostly played upbeat, high energy EDM. I liked to play songs that people would recognize with a danceable, motivating beat. Partying along with me are some dancers to help keep the riders motivated as they cycle on through.

Overall, this was a successful event, and I heard we raised over $27 million nationwide to help beat rare cancers! This was an amazing experience and am so happy to provide the energy for everyone that night. Thank you, Equinox, for having me!
